If the hypocrisy of Congress and the GOP hasn’t already made you sick, then this is the story for you.

When Obamacare was passed, it required members of Congress to get their insurance from the same health insurance exchanges with the rest of the public and forgo the Cadillac Health Care plan they got for the public plan.   In exchange they also receive lots of added benefits including lifetime care and insurance regardless of pre-existing conditions.

In voting for the repeal last week, the Republicans and a handful of Democrats voted against a Democratic motion that said members of Congress supporting the repeal must also repeal all the good stuff that they got with Obamacare.   So the GOP has tried to distance themselves from voting to protect Obamacare for themselves, while denying the same care to their constituents.

Jesse Ferguson, spokesperson for the Domocratic Congressional Campaign Committee noted, “House Republicans refuse to admit they voted to give themselves taxpayer funded lifetime guaranteed health care instead of having the same health care as their constituents.”

Good move, Democrats. Good move.
